This Christmas Day, spend the afternoon with our very own Andy, ‘Lofty Elf’ Marie and ‘Sporty Elf’ Kia for four whole hours of fun from our studio at Pleasley Vale. There will be a special festive edition of the ever-popular ‘Fact or Fiction’, some terrible jokes from ‘It’s a Cracker’ and lots of Christmasy music including the team’s favourite tracks from the last year. Craig Bunday will be programming his new toy ‘Santa AI’ (what could possibly go wrong?) and we’ll even have the traditional Christmas message from the King at 3pm.
So get the roast from the oven, put your party hats on and sit granny on that old deck-chair you found in the shed. It’s Christmas Day, but not quite like you’ve ever experienced it before. And it’s exclusive to PVR!
Welcome to your new LOCAL radio station
We are Pleasley Vale Radio, or PVR to our friends, a new local radio station which will soon begin transmissions from our studio in the beautiful and historic Pleasley Vale.
We will initially be transmitting over the internet, hopefully with FM to follow at some point in the future. You will be able to hear us on our website, on various web-app platforms and via your smart speaker.
As a volunteer-operated community radio station we are keen to hear from anyone who would like to be part of our team. We need presenters, producers, office staff and engineers. You don’t need any experience for any of these positions as we can teach you the skills you will need.
